Britannia Park has been owned and operated by Girl Guides Victoria for
more than 65 years. It is:
An accredited campsite of the Camping Association of Victoria.
A retreat and meeting place for all Guides throughout Australia and the
world.
The central location for all major Guiding events and activities in
Victoria.
The frequent host of national and international Guiding events,
gatherings and conferences.

Britannia Park is the heart of the Guiding movement in Victoria. It is a
place that Guides can visit to engage in exciting, adventurous
activities in the outdoors. Here, girls connect with women who dedicate
their lives to challenging, empowering and educating girls to achieve
their maximum potential.
Camping is a pivotal part of the Guiding Program. The experience gives
girls the opportunity to participate in adventurous outdoor activities
with the support and encouragement of their peers in a non-threatening
environment.
Through camping, Guides contribute to the protection of the natural
environment.
Britannia Park has full disability access to all indoor facilities, with
bathrooms for people with special needs

Iuka Retreat

Iluka Campsite is situated at Shoreham on the beautiful Mornington
Peninsula, just 88km from Melbourne.
Imagine... no passing traffic to disturb the peace and tranquillity, 14
hectares of undulating grassland and beautiful native trees, a wetlands
area with a bird habitat and nesting boxes for the large water-bird
population.
Sleep indoors or camp under the stars.
'Aulua Lodge' accommodates 30 ppl max and a second Lodge
accomodates 50 ppl max.
Both houses have a large open log fire place and fully equipped kitchens
and a large dining/activities room.
The three outdoor campsites offer unpowered camping, all have access to
a central camp kitchen, small meeting room, toilet and shower amenities,
all sites have bbq's.
Day visitors and short or long stay campers can enjoy varied activities.
Activities
Water activities on the lake ... canoeing and ponding complete with a
canoe shed with canoes, paddles and oars for all sizes and ages.
Challenge Valley... bring your old clothes and enjoy the fun and
challenge of the commando course.
Bush Cooking... make damper or bake potatoes the way they used to be
baked.
Pipehenge... a practical outdoor aid to learn astronomy, mathematics and
navigation.
Go on a Night Prowl... to see the plentiful wildlife.
Archery… try your hand at target practice with qualified instructors.
Volleyball, surf lessons, table tennis, badminton, horse riding,
orienteering, barbeque areas and large open areas.
Or ... perhaps just sit in a quiet place or study the abundant water and
native birds from the wetlands. A dream place for photographers and
painters alike.
Program and Activity Assistance
The surrounding area:
Swim with the dolphins, visit local wineries, Ashcombe Maze, Cape
Schanck Lighthouse, Arthur's Seat, Peninsula Hot Springs, historic
homesteads, galleries, craft studios and local markets. Go bush walking
or laze about or swim at local beaches. Catch a ferry from Sorrento to
Queenscliff - they run all day, every day. Visit the many excellent Golf
courses or take a bush/beach horse ride, the possibilities are endless…
Who can stay at Iluka?
Everyone! Families, school groups, people with special needs, church and
art groups, sporting clubs, bird watching clubs, Guiding groups,
Scouting groups and Corporate groups.
Iluka has disability access to most indoor facilities, with access
ramps, disabled bathrooms, access to most outdoor activities.

area.
